Friends of Concord Park & Woolley Wood

            OUR AIMS & OUR WORK.

The Friends Group aims are to improve facilities and the environment of Concord Park and Woolley Wood.

We work in partnership with the Sheffield City Council, Rangers team and our Sanctuary Housing association.
With the help of Viridor, Playbuilder, Community Assembly, Town Trust and the Graves Trust, the group have worked with Parks and Counryside to turn the derelict tennis courts into a Multi-use-games-area.

With Climate Change Funding, a composting area has been created to take all green waste in the area and turn it into useful compost to be returned onto shrubbery beds in parks. This is part of a policy to improve the parks green footprint.

Improvements to the childrens playground.

The group have a working party. We work alongside the Rangers doing practical tasks in Concord Park and Woolley Wood.

The work of improving the area is ongoing to make it a better place for everyone. If you would like to join us you will be very welcome.
