The following comments represent the collective voice of  the group
and are made with the very best intentions of Concord Park and Woolley Wood at heart:

Friends of Concord Park and Woolley Wood are a group of local residents, who maintain and update the area in many different ways. The main aim of the group is “to improve facilities and the environment.  Friends of Concord Park and Woolley Wood work in close partnership with Sheffield City Council, North Team Rangers and Sanctuary Housing Association.

The most recent and biggest achievement of the group was building the Multi-use Games Area (MUGA). Before the MUGA was built the area was in a sorry state with tennis courts that were not used and were in a state of disrepair. With the help of Viridor, Playbuilder, Community Assembly, Town Trust and Graves Trust, the project was able to go ahead and give Concord Park a new lease of life

The group have gone on to make further improvements, in the Children's playground new equipment and the installation of the Wolf Sculpture created by sculptor Jason Thomson, his work can also be seen in Woolley Wood.

Planting hundreds of snowdrop bulbs. Thank you to Sanctuary Housing for the funding to buy the bulbs and to all who helped plant them. also planted Nov. 2014 crocus, again in hundreds. Development of a mini wild flower meadow.

Ongoing, restoring the shrubberies.

With funding from the Big Lottery of £9,157 we have sponsored Activity Sheffield to put on a programme of activities for all though out the spring and summer. in the park.
